With the InnoTruck initiative, the information and dialog initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) promotes dialog on the question of how innovations in the technical and scientific fields should be advanced in order to unfold their greatest possible benefit to society. Because an idea is not yet an innovation. For that to happen, it needs technologies—and people who research and develop these and ultimately turn them into products or services, which leave a lasting and positive mark on our society.

See, touch and try out innovations

The centerpiece of the InnoTruck initiative is a double-decker special vehicle with around 100 m² of exhibition space, which offers all visitors an exciting voyage of discovery from research to technology and application to occupational profiles and hands-on activities. In addition, a special exhibition on the upper floor with a multi-monitor installation focuses on an annually changing theme that provides comprehensible answers to current questions of research and innovation policy. In 2023, these are the future energies hydrogen and nuclear fusion.

Accordingly, the motto is "See, touch and try".
