Whether focal or cutting-edge subjects, specific technologies or special interest areas - under the
“productronica University” banner, productronica 2009 is presenting everything that sets new standards in electronics production.
Foren
productronica 2009 had
two forums with about
3.000 visitors in Halls A1 and B3.
Sessions in the
productronica forum were on non-sector-specific topics. In the
innovation forum all topics were dedicated to specific innovation fields such
as e.g. micronano manufacturing, photovoltaic
manufacturing or organic electronics.
Organised by
ZVEI the
productronica
forum dealed with non-sector-specific technologies that have special
significance as well as topics related to EMS.
It examined key trends and features technical lectures on specific themes by
participating companies.
The fact that the
forums' new concept was worthwhile in every way is reflected by the outstanding
marks that both forums received from participants: Visitors had a first-rate
impression of the program. 90 percent of the participants gave them ratings of
good to excellent.

New in 2009: Hand-on Sessions
For the first time ever, exhibitors participating in productronica were
able to post information about
live demonstrations of their production
processes or
presentations of their latest developments in the productronica
event database. Doing
so it gave them an additional channel for calling attention to their exhibit
and addressing potential customers.
All activities were posted under
"Hands-on Sessions" in
the event database. The entries included information on times as well as brief
descriptions of the various events. This helped visitors to conveniently
include hands-on sessions in their plans to visit the fair.
Sonderschau SOPRO

The special show entitled
“Self-organizing production” (SOPRO) during productronica 2009 illustrated how
production processes will be organized in future. On the stand scientists from
the fields of microsystems technology, information technology and production
engineering used a production to show for the first time how the intelligent
factory of the future could function.

Career Information Day
“What job will I do in future?” – Career
Information Day during productronica 2009 provides secondary and
grammar school students with clear answers
Even during an economic crisis, engineers are urgently sought,
especially those with technical knowledge in environmental technology
and power engineering. productronica 2009 played its part in this
respect by becoming involved in the
promotion of young talent in the electronics industry.
The world’s leading trade fair for electronics production
therefore issued an invitation to attend the Career Information Day on
November 13, 2009. Under the umbrella of
superstudium.de, the Initiative of the German Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers‘ Association (ZVEI), 140 secondary and grammar school students from the final classes at
six schools in the Munich, Neubiberg, Holzkirchen and Schongau regions
were able to obtain information on job prospects and occupational
profiles in the electronics industry.
