Thanks to the new munich electronics summit on November 10, 2009, productronica, the world's leading trade fair for innovative electronics manufacturing, has strengthened its position as the electronics industry's international innovation platform.

The event consisted of two elements, i.e. the CEO Round Table in Hall A1 and an evening event for the CEOs of international corporations, which was by invitation only. It was hosted by Klaus Dittrich, Managing Director and – beginning January 1, 2010 – Chairman and CEO of Messe München GmbH. The event's mentor was Dr. Jürgen Gromer, member of the Managing Board and former president of Tyco Electronics. Guest of honor was Ram Charan, one of the leading management and business consultants in the world.

This meeting of top decision-makers from the industry will be staged annually in future as part of electronica and productronica.

CEO Round Table

The CEO Round Table, which was open to the public, was part of this first summit of leading international executives in the electronics and electronics-manufacturing industry. Industry CEOs took advantage of the event to discuss the role of technological innovations in overcoming the economic crisis and to talk about their companies' future strategies. More than 150 visitors followed the discussion at the productronica Forum in Hall A1 of the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. The panel discussion also shed some light on an extremely topical subject, i.e. "Innovations as a driving force for surviving the current crisis".

The discussion was introduced by a keynote address that was held by Dr. Ram Charan, one of the world's leading management and business consultants and guest of honor at the munich electronics summit.

The lively panel discussion that followed continued the topic that was introduced by Ram Charan. Dr. Jürgen Gromer have moderated the panel discussion.
